Ingredients
  • 1/2 kg chicken (manok) (cut into serving pieces)
  • 1/2 kg pork belly (baboy) (cut into serving pieces)
  • 6 clove garlic (crushed)
  • 1 red onion (chopped)
  • 4 dried bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp whole peppercorn
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp white vinegar
  • 200 g pouch pineapple tidbits
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
    Preparation:
  1. Cut the meat into serving pieces. And put them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Pour the soy sauce into a mixing bowl with the meat, then add the pineapple juice from the pineapple tidbits pouch.

Note: Set aside the pineapple tidbits for a while.
  3. Mix them together and allow them to marinate for at least an hour; longer is better. It is highly recommended to put them in the fridge.

  4. Separate the marinade liquid from the meat before cooking.

  5. Crush and peel the garlic, then peel and chop the onion. Peel and cube the potatoes.

  11. Pour in the vinegar and let it re-boil for 3 minutes without stirring.

  12. Add the sugar to balance the taste, then add the pineapple tidbits. Stir.

  13. Cover again and simmer to let the liquid evaporate until the desired amount of sauce has been reached.
