I prepare to make this at home with fresh ingredients instead of buying them in stores. Try this recipe; it’s rich in flavor and may add a delightful blast of spice and depth of flavor to a meal.
Remove the stalks from the chilies and wash them.
Finely chop the chilies. Set aside.
Peel and mince the garlic.
In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-low heat.
Add the minced garlic and saute for 10 minutes until it turns light brown.
Add the red minced chilies and saute with the garlic. Add the seasoning, salt, sugar, ground black pepper. Add seasoning granules to taste if desired.
Keep stirring for 1 to 2 minutes to make sure the seasoning dissolves.
Add the vinegar and allow it to cook for 3 minutes without string to avoid the "raw taste" of the vinegar.
Adjust the heat to low, and then simmer them for 20 to 25 minutes.
Once the chili and garlic are cooked, turn off the heat and leave the sauce to cool completely before storing it in a jar.
This chili garlic sauce will last in a sealed jar for 3 to 6 months or even longer, depending on how you cook it.
