Ingredients
4-5 Overripe bananas
For Batter Mixture
1cup All purpose flour
1/2cup Brown sugar
2tbsp Butter (unsalted, melted)
1 Egg
1/2tsp Banana essence
Salt (to taste)
33g Powdered milk
For Caramelized Sugar
3tbsp White sugar
2-3tbsp Warm water
Instructions
In a small molder pan, add sugar and a small amount of water. Turn on the heat, caramelize the sugar over low heat, then set aside.
Slice an overripe banana in half lengthwise. Arrange the banana on top of the caramelized sugar.
In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, egg, banana essence, salt, and powdered milk. Once combined, add the baking powder and gradually add the flour and water. Mix until the batter consistency is reached.
Pour the batter mixture on top of the sliced bananas in a molder pan and make it even.
Cover with a thin foil and cook for 40 minutes in a preheated steamer.
Transfer to a serving plate after removing from the steamer.
