Ingredients
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 onion (minced)
  • 5 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 green and red bell pepper (dice (optional))
  • 3 cup diced tomatoes in can
  • 2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup black olives (sliced)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (for toppings (optional))
Instructions
    Preparation:
  1. Gather the entire ingredient list needed for the recipe.

  2. Peel and mince the onions and garlic.

  3. Seeded the bell pepper and diced it.

  4. Cooking:
  5. In a large pan, put the ground beef. Cook and stir until the meat is browned and crumbly.

  6. Add the garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Stir and keep cooking for a few minutes.

  7. Add the diced tomatoes, cook, and stir until the vegetables are soft.

  8. Stir in tomato sauce and tomato paste. Season with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

  9. Adjust the heat to low and simmer the spaghetti sauce for 45 minutes. Stirring occasionally is highly recommended.

    Note: Stir in the sliced mushrooms and black olives in the middle of the simmering process.
  10. Keep simmering until the sauce becomes slightly thickened.

  11. Check it out and taste it. Adjust as necessary. Turn off the heat.

  12. Serve warm over cooked spaghetti pasta and top with grated cheddar cheese.
