Ingredients
600g Chicken Breast (cubes)
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Ground black pepper
1/2tsp Garlic powder
1 Egg
Breading Mixture
1cup All-purpose Flour
1/2cup Cornstarch
1tbsp Chicken powder
1tbsp Paprika powder
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Ground black pepper
Sweet Chili Sauce
2tbsp Butter
6clove Garlic (minced)
1cup Ketchup (sweet)
2tbsp Soy sauce
2tbsp Hot chili sauce
Pepper powder (to taste)
Salt (to taste)
1tbsp Sesame seeds
chopped Onion leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Preparation:
Remove the skin and excess fat from the chicken breasts and debone them. Then cut it into cubes, wash and drain water. Put them in a mixing bowl.
Add salt, ground black pepper, and garlic powder, then massage them. Crack 1 fresh egg into the meat, mix again, and let it sit for 30 minutes.
For the breading combine all-purpose flour, corn starch, chicken powder, salt, paprika powder, and ground black pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir
Dredge the chicken pieces in the breading mixture one at a time, then arrange them in the tray and it’s ready to fry.
Cooking:
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat. When the oil is hot enough, add the coated wings one at a time.
Fry them on both sides over medium heat until the color turns golden brown; remove from the pan and set aside.
Tips: For crispness, double fry them.
For the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Saute the minced garlic until it gets light brown and aromatic.
Add the sweet ketchup, soy sauce, and hot chili sauce and stir.
Bring to a gentle boil; add salt and pepper to taste. Mix until the sauce becomes slightly thick.
Toss in the deep-fried chicken until they are evenly covered with the sauce; add sesame seeds.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped onion leaves (optional).
