Just cooked the pasta noodles and fried the sliced sweet ham with butter, then added the minced garlic, onion and sliced mushrooms to sauté. With a combination of evaporated milk, all-purpose cream and cheese, the pasta sauce becomes creamy and rich. To complete the rich taste of the carbonara sauce, season it with ground black pepper and sugar. Toss and mix the cooked noodles with the prepared sauce on low heat and then, that’s it. You can now enjoy the quick and easy carbonara with ham dish with your family and friends.
Ingredients
For Cooking the Pasta Noodles
450g Pasta noodles
2l Water
1tbsp Salt
1tbsp Cooking Oil
For cooking the Carbonara with Ham
Cooked Pasta Noodles
250g Sweet Ham
410ml Evaporated Milk
250ml All Purpose Cream
165g Mushroom (sliced)
50g Butter
1 Onion (minced)
4-5clove Garlic (chopped)
165g Cheese (quick melt)
2-3tbsp Sugar
1-2pinch Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
In a pot, add 2 liters of water, 1 tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon cooking oil, stir to mix then add the pasta noodles. Bring to boil and cook for 8-10 minutes. When pasta is cooked, drain it and set aside.
In a pan, melt butter over low-medium heat. Add the sweet sliced ham cook it until turns light brown. Make a space to add chopped garlic, sauté it for few seconds then add the minced onion and sauté it together with garlic.
Add sliced mushroom, sauté and mix it altogether then add evaporated milk, sugar, and quick melt cheese. Season with ground black pepper, stir and simmer few minutes.
Add all-purpose cream, simmer again until sauce slightly thick and creamy. Add the cooked pasta previously set aside. Stir and mix the pasta noodles with the sauce over low heat. Transfer to a serving plate when done cooking.
