Description

This broccoli shrimp recipe is very easy to make and only takes a few minutes to cook. This dish is nutrient-dense and very delicious, with the perfect combination of vegetables and seafood, and it comes with a thick, savory sauce. Serve this dish while the vegetables are firm enough to consume, and surely the whole family will love this beautiful recipe.

Ingredients
  • 200 g shrimp (cleaned)
  • 250 g broccoli (cut)
  • 1 red bell pepper (strips)
  • 3 clove garlic (sliced)
  • 1 red onion (sliced)
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger (strips)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil (to saute)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp ground white pepper
  • sugar (to taste)
  • 1 stalk onion leek (chopped)
  • slurry (1 tsp. cornstarch + 2 tbsp. water)
Instructions
    Preparation:
  1. Clean the shrimp by removing the head and shell and deveining them. Set it aside for a while.

  2. Cut the broccoli into bite-size pieces. Discard the stem.

  3. Peel, cut, slice, and strip the spices for the recipe.

  4. Cooking:
  5. Heat water in a pot and blanch the broccoli and red bell pepper strips for a minute. Take it out of the heat, rinse in cold water, and drain well. Set aside.

  6. In a pan, heat cooking oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and saute for a few seconds.

  7. Add the onion and saute until soft, and then add the ginger and saute together for a minute.

  8. Add the shrimp and saute until it turns bright orange in color. Add soy sauce and a tablespoon of oyster sauce. Stir.

  9. Add the blanched broccoli and red bell pepper. Stir and continue cooking for a minute.

  10. To taste, add a few pinches of sugar and some freshly ground pepper.

  11. Add the chopped onion leek. Stir in the slurry mixture. (To make a slurry, combine 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water.)

  12. Continue cooking for a minute or until the sauce becomes slightly thick.

  13. Taste it and adjust as necessary. Turn off the heat and transfer the dish to a serving plate.

  14. Serve warm, and enjoy!
