Preparation:
Thinly slice the beef sirloin and place the beef in the clear plastic bag. Set aside some time.
Peel and mince the garlic cloves.
Combine soy sauce, calamansi juice or lemon, garlic, salt, pepper, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
Pour the prepared liquid seasonings into the clear plastic bag with the meat and mix well.
Place in the refrigerator and marinate for at least 8 hours.
Tips: Marinate the beef overnight for best results.
Cooking:
Bring one cup of water to a boil in a pan.
Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of cooking oil.
Put the marinated beef tapa in a pan and cook until the water evaporates.
Once cooked, remove from heat and serve warm with a pair of steaming rice.
