Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation:

  1. Cut the meat into serving pieces. And put them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Pour the soy sauce into a mixing bowl with the meat, then add the pineapple juice from the pineapple tidbits pouch.

Note: Set aside the pineapple tidbits for a while.
  3. Mix them together and allow them to marinate for at least an hour; longer is better. It is highly recommended to put them in the fridge.

  4. Separate the marinade liquid from the meat before cooking.

  5. Crush and peel the garlic, then peel and chop the onion. Peel and cube the potatoes.

Cooking Steps:

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan, add the onion, and saute for 30 seconds. Then add the garlic and saute until light brown and aromatic.

  2. Add the pork and cook until the color turns light brown, then add the chicken, stir, and cook for 3 minutes.

  3. Dash with salt to taste. Add the marinade sauce, stir, and cook for 3 minutes, uncovered.

  4. Add water and let it boil, covered. Simmer until the meat gets tender.

  5. Pour in the vinegar and let it re-boil for 3 minutes without stirring.

  6. Add the sugar to balance the taste, then add the pineapple tidbits. Stir.

  7. Cover again and simmer to let the liquid evaporate until the desired amount of sauce has been reached.

  8. Taste the sauce and adjust; add salt if necessary. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.

  9. Transfer to a serving dish. Serve with a pair of steaming rice.
