Instructions

  1. Combine the cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well blended.

  2. Pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, grease the baking pan or baking dish, then pour in the cassava cake batter mixture.

  4. Put in the baking pan or baking dish and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Remove from the oven and set aside.

  5. Meanwhile, prepare the topping. In a deep bowl, combine all the custard topping ingredients. Mix until well combined, and pour the mixture over the pre-baked cassava cake.

  6. Set the oven to broil mode. Put back the pre-baked cassava cake and broil until the custard is cooked and the color turns golden brown. Remove it from the oven.

  7. Garnish with extra grated cheese on top, if desired.

  8. Slice it into serving portions. Serve and enjoy!
