Making the Palitaw

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine glutinous flour and water and mix well.

  2. Kneed the mixture with our hands, making a small ball and firmly pressing it to make it oblong in shape.

  3. Prepare a cooking pot with enough water and bring it to a boil.

  4. Put the palitaw one by one in the boiling water. When it floats, it appears cooked. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Making the Latik

  1. Pour half of the coconut milk into a large saucepan and heat over low to medium heat. Stir regularly until it becomes latik. Strain the browned curds "latik" and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. In a casserole, pour 1 cup of water and the remaining coconut milk, then add sugar and salt. Mix it well and bring it to a soft boil. Stir regularly until the sauce becomes slightly thick.

  2. Add the palitaw, sliced langka"jackfruit", and latik. Then continue cooking over low heat for 2 minutes.

  3. Serve while still warm, and enjoy!
