  1. Boil the pasta until cooked; follow the packaging label instructions. Once it is cooked, take out the pasta and set it aside. Disregard the liquid.

  2. Prepare the spices needed for the recipe.

  3. In a large pan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and saute for 30 seconds, then add the onion and saute until soft and fragrant.

  4. Add the tuna flakes and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the all-purpose cream, then pour in the fresh milk, stir, and let it boil. Add lemon zest if desired.

  5. Add the parmesan cheese to the pan and cook for 30 seconds. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir everything together thoroughly. Taste and adjust.

  6. Place the cooked linguine in. Add parsley, then toss until the pasta is coated with sauce.

  7. Turn off the heat and transfer the pasta to a serving dish.

  8. Serve the pasta and top with extra parmesan cheese and parsley, if desired. Enjoy!
