Description
Canned sardines can be eaten straight from the can. It taste delicious and have a good source of protein. But if you want to try something different, try this ginisang sardinas to your favorite canned sardines. To make the recipe healthy, we'll add moringa (malunggay) leaves which is a good source of vitamins and minerals. Misua also added to make it more filling. When Filipino households are on a tight budget, they frequently serve this recipe. I also make this recipe when I don't have enough money and sometimes I crave sardines with soup. Not only is it inexpensive, but it is also really tasty, especially when served with warm white rice.

Pre-heat cooking oil in a pan. Saute sliced onion, minced garlic and sliced tomato.
Add canned sardines in tomato sauce and suate for 1-2 minutes.
Pour in 3 to 4 cups of water, depending on how much soup you want.
Add misua noodles and bring to soft boil. Add fish sauce and moringa (malunggay) leaves.
Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes over low to medium heat.
Remove the cover and season to taste with a pinch of pepper powder and salt. Taste and adjust the flavor to your liking.
Remove ginisang sardinas from the pan and place them in a serving bowl. Enjoy your meal!
