  1. Wash the kamote (sweet potato) and put it in a pot. Pour in 1 to 2 cups of water, then bring to a boil until it gets soft.

  2. Remove the kamote (sweet potato) from the pot and allow it to cool down. Disregard the liquid.

  3. Peel and put the kamote (sweet potato) in a large mixing bowl.

  4. Mash the kamote. Add in the butter (optional) and the condensed milk. Mix properly.

  5. Place the lumpia wrapper on a flat surface. Add a scoop of the ube mixture and spread it on the bottom part of the wrapper, then place one piece of cheese. Wrap and seal. Repeat the process until all is done.

  6. Deep fry the kamote turon until golden brown.

  7. Drizzle some ube-flavored condensed milk before serving.
