Just sauté the spices, then add the gata and bring to a boil until a little oil appears. Next, add the shrimp or hipon, simmer for another minute, and serve warm. Preparation:
Clean the shrimp, then remove the antennae. Keep the head and shell intact.
Peel and mince the spices needed for the recipe.
Cooking:
In a pan, heat cooking oil over a medium-low flame. Saute the ginger, onion, and garlic.
Pour in coconut milk and add fish sauce and ground black pepper.
Allow the liquid to boil for 10 minutes, or until it has reduced by half.
Add the hipon (shrimp) and cook for 5 minutes.
