Instructions
Prep. Work:
Gather the entire ingredient list needed for the recipe.
Peel and mince the onions and garlic, then slice the hotdog.
Cooking:
In a pot, boil about 2 liters of water, then add salt to taste.
Once the water is boiling, add the spaghetti noodles and cook for 10 minutes. Take them out of the heat and set them aside.
Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan, then add the sliced hotdogs, pan-fry them for a few minutes, and set it aside.
Note: Only use this method if you want a bit of crispness in the hotdog; if not, skip this part.In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil or as needed. Saute the garlic for 30 seconds, then add the onion and saute until soft.
Add the ground meat (pork or beef); it depends on your preference.
Cook until the meat changes color to a light brown; regular stirring is required to cook the meat evenly.
Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the Filipino-style spaghetti sauce and tomato paste. Stir.
Add the spaghetti meat sauce. Stir and then simmer for 5 minutes, covered.
Add the pan-fried hotdog and brown sugar to taste, stir, and keep cooking until the sauce becomes slightly thick.
Add the boiled spaghetti pasta noodles. Mix until the spaghetti pasta noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
Turn off the heat, then transfer the spaghetti dish to a serving plate.
Serve alone or top with grated cheese and chopped parsley. Enjoy!
