When it comes to canned products, tuna is one of the healthiest options. In this recipe, we will make a Jollibee inspired tuna pie using sliced bread, a Filipino pie that is mixed with mayonnaise, tuna, and mixed vegetables. It's tasty and popular in the Philippines as a simple snack.

  1. In a bowl, pour the canned tuna. Separate the sauce. Mash to refine the texture.

  2. Add all-purpose cream, mayonnaise, grated carrots, white or black pepper powder, brown sugar and grated cheese, then mix to incorporate or until smooth.

  3. Remove the crust from the edge of sliced bread, then flatten using a rolling pin.

  4. Crack eggs and beat them well. Coat the edge of the bread with the beaten egg.

  5. Spread tuna fillings onto the bread. Roll up to form a pie and press both sides down with a fork to seal the pie. Dip the tuna pie into beaten egg. Coat with bread crumbs.

  6. Fry in preheated cooking oil in a pan until it turns golden brown. Fry it in batches.

  7. Use a strainer or paper towel to drain excess oil. Transfer to a serving plate.
