Preparation:
Peel off the skin of the saging saba, or plantain, then slice it lengthwise.
Place a lumpia or spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Put the banana slice on it, then add the barnuts.
Roll the wrapper, fold it and lock it. Use water to seal the edge. Ready to fry.
Cooking:
In a pan, heat the oil and put in some sugar. Stir and wait until the brown sugar floats.
When the sugar starts caramelizing and floats. Place the wrapped bananas or turon in the pan and fry in batches.
Fry it until the wrapper turns golden brown and the extra sugar sticks to the turon (sweet crispy banana rolls).
Serve it hot as a dessert or snack. Share and enjoy the food.
