  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and saute until soft, then add the garlic and saute until fragrant.

  2. Add the ground meat and saute it with the spices for 5 minutes, or until brown and cooked through. Add the hotdog slices, stir, and cook for 3 minutes.

  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, banana ketchup, and sugar. Stir and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pan, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the sauce becomes slightly thickened.

    Note: To prevent burning the pan's bottom while simmering the sauce, it is highly advised to stir from time to time.
  5. 15 minutes later, add grated cheese if desired, Stir.

  6. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

  7. Taste it and adjust as necessary. Turn off the heat.

  8. Serve warm over cooked spaghetti pasta and top with grated cheddar cheese.
