Ginisang Sardinas with Noodles and Egg
Description
In this Filipino lutong bahay recipe, "Ginisang Sardinas, Noodles at itlog" instead of mashing the sardines like I did with my sardines noodles mini torta, I left them whole here. The canned sardines, along with the noodles and a piece of egg, take on a different great flavor. It’s easy to do and budget-friendly as well.
Ingredients
Instructions
Fry egg in a pan. Add a pinch of salt to taste, then set aside. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and onion.
Add the canned sardines in tomato sauce and 2 cups of water. Stir and bring to a brisk boil, then add the instant noodles and the special seasonings. Stir to dissolve seasonings.
Add 2 pieces of long green chili. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Add finely chopped spring onion and a pinch of salt (optional). Adjust the taste accordingly.
Transfer to a serving bowl and put the fried egg on top. Best to serve when it’s a bit hot.
