  1. Peel and remove the seeds of the chayote, then slice it. Chop the garlic, onion, and tomato.

  2. In a pan, heat cooking oil over low to medium heat. Saute chopped garlic until fragrant. Add the chopped onions and saute until translucent. Add the chopped tomato and saute until soft.

  3. Add the ground pork and salt. Saute it for 2 minutes or until it changes color.

  4. Add water and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer it for 8 to 10 minutes.

  5. Add the sliced chayote and stir. Cover again and cook for 3 minutes, or until the chayote is tender.

  6. Season with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to taste, then stir. Optionally add a pinch of seasoning granules to taste.

    Pinch of sugar may help to balance out the flavor.
  7. Adjust the taste according to your preference. Stir and it’s all done.

  8. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot. Share and enjoy eating!
