Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation:

  1. Clean the squid, remove the innards, and slice the squid into pieces.

Tips: Don’t forget to save the squid ink and use it later.
  2. Peel and chop the spices needed for the recipe.

  3. In a container, put the squid slices. Add salt, soy sauce, and vinegar; mix well. Allow the squid (pusit) to marinate for 10 minutes.

Cooking:

  1. In a pan or pot, heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Add the garlic and saute until it turns light brown, then add the onion and tomato. Keep sauteing until the tomatoes turn soft. Then add the bell pepper slices.

  2. Adjust heat low to medium heat. Stir in the marinade sauce and bring it to a boil. Let it cook for 3 minutes, covered.

  3. Put the squid in and add the squid ink, then cook for another 3 minutes with the lid on the pot.

  4. Add sugar, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir and keep cooking for a minute.

  5. Take out the squid from the pot and arrange them in a serving dish.

  6. Simmer the sauce until it reduces to half.

Note: Taste the sauce and adjust it as necessary before serving.
  7. Pour the sauce over the squid. Serve hot. Share and enjoy the food.
    Happy cooking.
