In a lanyera molder, put sugar and add a small amount of water. Set the heat to low and caramelize the sugar.
When the sugar has caramelized, remove it from the heat and let it set in the molder. Set it aside.
In a bowl, pour the milk powder and water. Stir it well.
Add the white sugar and continue stirring until the sugar dissolves. In this part, you can add the optional ingredients: the mango essence. Stir it to mix.
Add the egg and beat it until well combined. Strain your flan mixture 3 to 5 times to achieve a smooth texture.
Pour the prepared mixture into the lanyera molder with the caramelized sugar previously set aside. Cover the mixture with tin foil before going to steam.
Cook for 20–25 minutes in a preheated steamer over medium heat.
Remove from the steamer and serve. Enjoy eating!
