Pinoy Spaghetti or Filipino Spaghetti is a sweet, sticky, saucy, delicious dish served during special occasions in the Philippines. It has a sweet sauce, a meaty, cheesy flavor, and is really delightful to eat. Pasta noodles, spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, liver spread, sliced hot dogs, ground meat, and grated cheese are common ingredients. Adding fish sauce, onion, garlic, salt and sugar makes it more flavorful and delicious. This Filipino spaghetti recipe is simple to prepare, and it is a favorite among many Filipinos.

  1. Cook your spaghetti as per the package directions. Set it aside.

  2. In a pan, heat cooking oil over low- medium heat and sauté sliced onion and crushed garlic until soft, then add the ground beef. Render the beef fat, and then remove the oil to avoid oily spaghetti.

  3. Add the sliced hotdog and liver spread. Mix it well.

  4. Pour in spaghetti sauce and tomato paste. You can also add the optional ingredients at this point, like sugar and beef bouillon cubes.

  5. Add the water and simmer for 30 minutes on low to medium heat. To avoid burning, stir it occasionally.

  6. Season with fish sauce, salt and pepper powder to taste. Adjust it to your preference.

  7. To serve, spoon spaghetti sauce over noodles or combine the noodles and sauce in a large pot or mixing bowl. Then add grated cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.

  8. Enjoy eating!
