Preparation:

  1. Peel off the skin of the saging saba, or plantain, then slice it lengthwise.

  2. On a plate with brown sugar. Roll the banana pieces in it to coat them with enough sugar.

  3. Place a lumpia or spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Add the banana with the sugar coating.

  4. Roll the wrapper, fold and lock. Use water to seal the edge.

Cooking:

  1. In a pan, heat the oil and put in some sugar. Stir and wait until the brown sugar floats.

  2. When the sugar starts caramelizing and floats. Place the wrapped bananas in the pan and fry in batches.
