  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cocoa powder, white sugar, and vegetable oil. Beat or whisk until it forms a glossy, gritty, black dough.

    Note: It is better to use an electric mixer if one is available.
  2. Add eggs to the mixture, one egg for every 30 seconds of mixing the dough. Then add the vanilla and whisk it until well combined. Set it aside.

  3. In another mixing bowl, stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Add the dry ingredients to the cocoa mixture, whisking gently on low speed until just combined to form a chocolate dough.

    Note: Do not over mix the mixture.
  4. Cover the bowl with dough or place the dough in plastic cling wrap and chill it in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight.

  5. Prepare the oven trays by lining them with baking paper or parchment paper. And also put the powdered sugar in a wide bowl.

  6. When ready to bake or consume, take out the chilled mixture, scoop a tablespoon of the dough, and turn it into a ball shape. For larger cookies, roll 2 tablespoons of dough into balls.

  7. Working at a time, roll the dough ball in a bowl with powdered sugar and place on prepared oven trays at a distance of a few inches. Repeat the process until all the dough is finished.

    Note: In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while making the dough balls.
  8. Bake the cookies at 350°F for about 12 minutes or longer; it depends on the size and area of the oven you are using.

  9. Once cooked, remove from heat and allow 1 to 2 minutes on the sheets before transferring the chocolate crinkles to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. For later use, place the cookies in a sealed container. Serve crispy, and enjoy!
